Cyndi Sweeney (She/Her)

CEO/Founder

Cyndi (Cyn) is a DEI Inclusion advisor, educator, and podcaster. Inspired by her journey as a mother of a trans child, she uses her 20+ years of experience in business, journalism and advocacy, elevating representation and visibility for transgender people through Simply Good Form Inc., a national, award winning, gender diversity consultancy. Her goal is to drive innovation and growth for clients from coast-to-coast-to-coast. Cyn was a 2023 Business Leader of the Year finalist with the Canadian 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce.

She was also a finalist for the 2022 Business Advocate of the Year. Cyn has built a network of award-winning EDIA professionals who lead with first-person, lived experience. Since moving to Nova Scotia in 2012 with her family, she’s served on boards including Building Futures Employment Society and PRIDE Lunenburg County. Her volunteer leadership with Pflag Halifax since 2018 highlights her commitment to community.
Public speaking engagements involve being a panelist with PRIDE Health Nova Scotia, PRIDE at Work Canada, and national conferences. Another engagement is the IWK Integrated Trans Health Symposium for youth into adulthood. Cyn earned degrees from University of Western Ontario and University of King’s College. She also obtained certificates in Gender Studies from UBC. Additionally, she earned certification from the IWK Trans Health Team for World Professional Association of Transgender Health navigation. She co-hosts the podcasts Trans Canada Stories and Hey, Cis!, and is the author of the children’s storybook, The Pink Balloon.

Emma Stanley (She/Her)

Keynote Speaker, Creative Development

Emma is passionate about inspiring change through connecting with audiences authentically. She moved into an executive leadership role at SGF Inclusion in winter 2024, after joining the company in Fall 2022. Emma is a 2024 Finalist ‘Business Leader of the Year 2024,’ by the Canadian 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce.

Emma is skilled at integral facilitation. She delivers workshops, keynotes, and professional development programming. Her work is grounded in authenticity, connection, engagement, and group safety.

Emma is a queer trans woman who lived and transitioned across several countries and cultures. She had the chance to experience a wide variety of different perspectives and approaches to 2SLGBTQIA+ people. Being a language educator made sure she understands the power of words and language within our culture.

Her lived experience positions SGF’s EDIA programming delivery to be the best, most inclusive education to serve our clients. Emma is co-host of Trans Canada Stories podcast and leads THRIVE! Queer Careers and Resiliency program.

Joss Stoodley (she/they) is a program developer, facilitator, and community builder at Simply Good Form Inc., where she brings both structure and heart to every initiative she touches. With a background in Management and Marketing from Dalhousie University, Joss blends strategic thinking with creativity to support inclusive workplace and community practices.

At Simply Good Form, Joss leads initiatives such as Name and Gender Marker Change Clinics and plays a key role in the development and facilitation of Filling The GAP—a peer-informed, affirming support space for gender-diverse individuals and caregivers. She also manages the organization’s digital storytelling and social media outreach, using her voice to connect and engage across generations and communities.

Joss is passionate about making inclusion actionable, accessible, and rooted in joy. Outside of her advocacy and facilitation work, she’s a dynamic performer in Halifax’s drag scene, hosting a weekly show downtown and appearing in the six-part Canadian docuseries TRANSLATIONS (Bell Fibe TV1). She lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with her fiancé and their two beloved cats, and spends her downtime sewing costumes and playing video games.
