What’s Included in the BB4I Series

Course 1: Transgender Inclusion at Work – Foundations

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Training. Build a clear, shared foundation for inclusive practice.

  • Terminology and Definitions of DEI and belonging
  • Understand key concepts: gender identity, gender expression, sex, sexuality, and why they matter in real situations.
  • Learn how gender‑identity‑based barriers show up in workplaces, programs, and crisis moments.
  • Explore practical language and terminology that supports respectful, trauma‑aware communication.
  • Watch short, scenario‑based videos (including our “Foundations: Gender Identity and Terminology” module) and apply concepts through guided reflection and activities.

Outcome: Your team shares a common language and framework, reducing confusion and making all later training more effective. This course aligns with DEIB training requirements and strengthens them through applied learning and practical communication strategies.

Course 2: Pronoun Power‑Up & Inclusive Communication Skills

Turn knowledge into daily practice. This course fully meets and exceeds gender diversity training by focusing on applied communication skills, not just awareness.

  • Learn actionable verbal and non‑verbal best practice communication skills for leading beyond the binary.
  • Practice simple, safe ways to ask about and use names and pronouns—even in fast‑paced or high‑stress settings.
  • Recognize microaggressive language and practise more inclusive alternatives.
  • Build confidence to navigate mistakes, repair quickly, and keep relationships intact.

Outcome: Staff can apply real-time, inclusive communication skills—with participants, families, and colleagues.

Diversity is something you ask for. Inclusion is something you offer. As a business owner, when you hire diversely, you’re just asking people to show up. Inclusion, on the other hand, is making a space that is truly welcoming, so people show up without being asked.”

Business Leader of the Year Finalist 2024, CGLCC
