Our Land Acknowledgment

Simply Good Form Inclusion acknowledges that we work and live in Kjipuktuk (Big Harbour). Kjipuktuk is pronounced “che-book-took”. Halifax is in Mi’kmaw territory. Mi’kma’ki is the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people. It is covered by the Treaty of Peace and Friendship. This treaty was first signed with the British Crown in 1725 and 1726. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia and their culture nurture this place.

We acknowledge that SGF Inclusion is early in its reconciliation journey.

We commit to ongoing acknowledgment, reflection and engagement. In 2024, we embarked on our economic truth and reconciliation journey. We are committing to donate 1% of service revenue to local indigenous and Two-Spirit organizations in our area.

Honouring, upholding and uplifting the voices of Indigenous peoples within our communities, is an important mission of ours.
