Just a heads up: if you ARE a teacher or a school admin, make sure to mark your calendars. This fun and easy-going school event is happening from November 13-19, 2024!
It applies whether you’re in public, private, or home-school.
It is almost that time of year again. We are connecting with educators around the province of Nova Scotia and beyond. Our goal is to share details about this year’s Inclusive Schools Read Nova Scotia. This event is a week-long celebration (or an afternoon) of inclusive stories and activities. It also includes stigma-breaking education supporting trans inclusion and acceptance in classrooms.

We are excited (and relieved) to see the choice of inclusive 2SLGBTQIA+ books growing in classrooms around Nova Scotia. It’s truly wonderful to see – and it is saving lives. It is fostering acceptance among peers of gender expansive students. It is also reducing stigma linked to gender identity, expression, and sexual orientation.
