A new program and a dedicated space supporting parents and caregivers of trans young people, is here when you need it most.

Welcome! If you are new to Simply Good Form, we’ve been here for you since 2019. Now, we are here even more.

I am excited to now offer coaching services for parents and caregivers of transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive young people. We are based in Nova Scotia and deliver services across Canada.

I’m Cynthia (she/her) and I’m the founder of Simply Good Form, and have also walked, hiked…climbed, my own parenting gender journey. I recognize the profound challenges experienced by primary caregivers searching for gender affirming resources and navigating support systems. My services embed compassionate guidance in a world often clouded by misinformation and harmful rhetoric.

The First 30 Days: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers Navigating a Gender Journey

  • Are you new to this journey?
  • Has your child or young person recently come out as transgender or gender creative, and you’re not sure where to start?

The First 30 Days is a Free Guide I created to support you during those pivotal early days!

The First 30 Days

I created this FREE guide to support parents and primary caregivers during the first 30 days of their child’s gender journey. It’s a simple, step-by-step downloadable booklet that will help you with the “What now?”

Learn 3 positive things you can do in the first 30 days, what to say, when you don’t have all the answers, and more! You’re not doing this alone 💛

What happens once you click to get your Guide?

  1. You’ll be directed to my Coaching website where you can download the Guide for free – no obligation.
  2. I ask for your email, but of course, you can unsubscribe any time.
  3. Along with the guide, you’ll receive 5 emails in total. These emails deliver additional support information, tips, and resources straight to your inbox. This occurs during the first 30 days.
  4. That’s it – I will not spam you – your time is too important. If my coaching can support you meaningfully, I would be honoured. I would gladly walk alongside you on this journey. I have navigated our own pathway since my child was in elementary school.

Mission Statement:

My Mission: is to provide accessible coaching and support to primary care providers of transgender people and their loved ones. This involves offering connection, resources, and community.

I value belonging and creating space where trans people are seen, valued, and thrive. My goal is to help you with navigating a gender journey with confidence and dignity.

Nova Scotia has the highest proportion of transgender and non-binary individuals among Canadian provinces. Approximately 1 in 200 people identify as such. We value bridging the gaps in care and understanding. We do this through empathy, education, and practical support. Our goal is to create a safer and more inclusive future for all.

Services Reflecting Compassion and Purpose:

  • 1:1 Leadership Affirming Coaching Sessions: Personalized guidance helping families and individuals navigate complex systems of care, and make informed decisions with confidence.
  • Education and Resources:
    • Access to gender-affirming care education including
      • name and gender marker change pathway
      • best practices for language, communication and terminology
      • allyship training
      • Downloadable digital materials tailored for caregivers and professionals to support inclusivity.
  • Virtual Support Meet-Ups: Virtual gatherings offer a safe space for parents and caregivers to connect, share their experiences, and gain strength through collective understanding. Hosted by former pflag Canada chapter leader and parent volunteers. Each meeting provides vital resources and practical advice to foster meaningful allyship and healthy family connection.

More than a program—it’s a lifeline.

I stand alongside caregivers overwhelmed by the weight of societal misinformation and transgender individuals who face systemic barriers to care.

Together, we’re building a network of trust, understanding, and action to empower individuals and families to thrive.
